Thermal Imaging Thermal imaging using an infrared (IR) camera is very useful when energy auditing a home.
An IR camera can let you see problem areas that wouldn't be visible to the naked eye like water leakage,
air leakage, insulation deficiencies, and the potential for hidden condensation and mold.
In the picture on the right you'll notice the roof is red. That means
there is heat being lost from the roof, and the roof most likely is not
insulated.
